Bloodlines Cover!!

Bloodlines cover was finally released today!! The book is suppose to be released on August 23rd. i got think info via Richelle Mead's Blog. She forwarded us to this Entertainment Weekly article.

Richelle Mead has graduated from Vampire Academy, her popular YA series that wrapped up in December with the release of its sixth and final book, and now she’s moving onto new territory. Well, somewhat new:Bloodlines will be a spin-off ofVA, moving the previously tertiary character Sydney, a human alchemist, from the sidelines to the forefront. It will also be set in a sunny Californian high school instead of that rigid, preppy-bloodsucker academy, which I imagine will be like transferring from the Undead Poets Society to Bayside High. Check out the finalized cover for the first book of the series—that’s Sydney with the filigreed face, by the way—and watch a video after the jump of Mead talking about how it will differ from Vampire Academy.Bloodlines is set to hit shelves on August 23.
I am so excited for this book!! I cant wait to delve into into this world again. What do you guys think of the cover?

DIMITRI HOT!

I know i can never shut up enough about Vampire Academy but I really loved this pic I found on Shadowkissed.com. They are trying to be the best comprehensive Vampire Academy fan based site. This was drawn by the artist Emma Vieceli who is drawing the Vampire Academy Graphic Novel.

Just like Shadowkissed.com said where is the human version of this man. He's super hot (for a drawing lol) but I loved how the artist captured the essense of Dimitri. Serious, strong, godlike, intimidating and HOT!!

What do you guys think??

"Vampire Academy Review As Told By Stick Figures

You know how sometimes you love a book so much that written reviews just don't do your feelings justice? And so you're forced to make potentially embarrassing videos to convey your feelings instead?

Oh? No? That's just me? *Shrugs*

My thoughts on the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, told through stick figure drawings, 'cause...why not?"

Just A Thought

So I was having a conversation with my boyfriend the other day and he was telling me about this new singing artist that's really good. I can't remember his name right now but my boyfriend was telling me how he was in the same category as Justine Bieber for new artist or something. I noticed that I caught myself doing one of those ughh sound. So I said to my boyfriend, "You know its sad, because when Justin Bieber was just coming out I thought he was good, you know the boy can actually sing. But unfortunetly he has that connotation to his name that whenever you hear it all you can think about are all the pre-teens girls yelling and being obssessed with him". At least that's the way I feel; the reason why I find it sad is because I feel like he's lost like that credibility of being a good artist, and is usually thought of a crazy fad that everyone likes but that there's no talent. (Not sure if you understand what i'm trying to say).

That made me think even more; and I thought of Twilight. I really enjoyed reading that series. I thought the author was great and fell in love with Edward (from the book). This was before the twilight craze started of course. But now I feel like a lot of people that really like the book generally don't like being associated to twilight because of this Twilight Craze. Usually when you think of twilight now, all people see girls saying I love Taylor Lautner and Rob Pattinson. I mean I follow lots of blogs and love reading reviews but I have noticed very few blogs if any have reviews up for the twilight series. I guess what I am getting at is unfortunetly a lot (because of ignorance) don't want to know about anything with vampire, books, or twilight because they think it dumb; because all they picture is the Twilight Craze. Some of you may disagree  which is fine, we are all entitled to your own opinion. I guess the reason I wanted to post this is because I wanted to know if others felt this way. Like that because of the craze over celebrities, things get ruined. If your reading a paranormal book or watching something with vampire you here "Isn't that just like twilight? ughh". No matter what though I still have a very high opinion of the Twilight books and I stand by them.

The positives from the craze are though that more people have been exposed to reading which is always a plus and why I won't say the Twilights movie ruined everything. I enjoy the movies so don't misunderstand. I just want to here your thoughts and opinions.

Review: Last Sacrifice: Richelle Mead

Title: Last Sacrifice

Vampire Academy Series: Book 6

Now the law has finally caught up with Rose- for a crime she didn’t even commit. She’s in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She’ll need help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.

But the clock on Rose’s life is running out. Rose knows in her heart the world of the dead wants her back… and this time she is truly out of second chances. The big question is, when your life is about saving others, who will save you?

Cover:
I really liked this cover. The girl is very pretty and it ties in very nicely with the series! Although I do like  some of the international covers for this series.
My Review:
I absolutlely love this series. (spoilers)

I am so happy Dimitri was with Rose throughout the whole book. I literally was so nervous when Dimitri was at th end of that hallway to help break Rose out. I knew he was going to be part of it he just had to be. I was laughing so much when Rose tricked Dimitri into a kiss just to punch him after. I wanted them to fall back in love; just like the way they originally had.

I really have not found any two characters that belong together the way these two do. I feel Richelle did an awesome job of showing us again why they belong together. Richelle did an awesome job at reminding and rekindleing their love for one another. There love was never i just met you so I love you and am obsessed with you. It has always been something that grew from similar morals, personalities and many other amazing things.

Although I had figured out who was Lissa sister before I read LS, I didn't know for sure who killed the queen. Wow I was surprised. The ending felt a little rushed but I think that was purposely done for many reasons. I think Richelle left those loose strings purposely for Bloodlines.

I am very happy to see Lissa being as helpful and supportive to Rose even though they weren't necessarily together. I'm so happy Rose and Dimitri ended up together. Even though I grew to like Adrian a bunch I knew he was never meant for Rose. I think Rose said it perfectly (She has never named herself the victim), and that right there says a lot about her character. She has always needed someone to have the ability to take care of her even though she can take of herself and not once did I ever think Adrian was able to be that person for her.I was upset that there wasnt much closure for Adrian, but i think Adrian will have his happy ending in Bloodlines.

I was upset of how Rose and Lissa lost the bond, but I guess it is way better for Rose. She has lost that darkness and doesn't have to worry about Lissa all the time. I think in a way the Last Sacrifice was Rose jumping in front of Lissa before she got shot.Just for the simple fact that was ultimately the last sacrifice to literally save Lissa's life while having that life time of darkness being taken away from that act.

I really loved this series, Richelle has an amazing was of making theese characters so real and I am so happy she created this beautiful world. She is an amazing author and is Officially the best. Thanks so much for this amazing Journey!!!

Review: Vampire Academy: Richelle Mead

Title: Vampire Academy
Author: Richelle Mead
Vampire Academy Series: Book 1
Summary:
St. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school—it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St. Vladimir's—the very place where they're most in danger...
Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world's fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

Cover:
I like this cover because the girl looks so much like Angelina Jolie. But I do wish this whole series had a different set of covers, just because amongst other books in the store it didn't really stand out.

My Review:
absolutely love this series.

OMG Wat an amzing book!!

The thing that i loved most about this book is how independent and strong Rose is. Though she can get a little over excited and say things she shouldnt, I think that is what makes her such a likable character. She is very easy to relate with. She's very realistic because she's strong and an amazing friend but she isn't perfect.

Another awesome thing about this book is Dimitri & Rose's love for one another. I like that it wasn't "the moment i saw him i knew i loved him" kind of thing it was a genuine attraction and relationship that built up and made them fall for each other. They understand one another and Richelle Mead just makes you want to fall in love with him while routing for them.

I love that rose isn't self involved and is very responsible. I think this is DEFINATE MUST READ for people that loved twilight, or that love a great paranormal romance, or just want to read and amzing book. All the characters are well devoloped and you begin to care for them.

I loved this book!! This is one of my top 3 favorite books

Review: Shadow Kiss: Richelle Mead

Title: Shadow Kiss
Author: Richelle Mead
Vampire Academy Series: Book 3
Summary:
For Rose Hathaway, everything seems out of kilter. Ever since she made her first Strigoi kills, a dark shadow has been creeping over her. Looming in the background, too, is another realization: If she follows her forbidden love for guardian Dimitri Belikov, she might lose her best friend forever. And these sleep-shaking worries couldn't have come at a worse time. The immortal unloving are prowling everywhere, famished for vengeance against her. An adrenaline-laced episode of the teen pop favorite Vampire Academy.

My Review:
I really loved this book. One of the reasons was because Rose has grown up a lot and is more and more mature. She has gone through so much by this time that you cant help but love her for being so strong.
*** Alert Spoilers Below****

I think this book shows how amazing Rose really is. Among her regular stresses shes deals with, she's now dealing with mason's ghost following her, crazy amounts of anger, and taking all that darkness from lissa. She's also trying to be more adult with the whole dimitri situation. She's not resulting to childish behavior like in Frost Bite.

I feel like this book really depicts how much Dimitri really loves and cares for Rose. There really was so much foreshadowing in the previous books and especially this one, that you cant help but wonder what is going to happen.

I know that this book might not have been liked for its ending but it really was an amazing ending. In shadow kiss you really can see how serious Dimitri and Rose are about being guardians and you see how talented they are. I'm also very in this book because Dimitri opens up to Rose.I love how he finally let his guard down for Rose as well seeing her for what she is.

He even started thinking about their future together. Now as for the whole Dimitri turning strigoi thing, it was bound to happen. Richelle foreshadowed this in vampire academy, and I think it needed to be done. This book is definately one of my favorite from the whole series.
